Employment application – Guides and Support Staff

Kitchen:  Our guests are served three family-style meals a day.  The number of guests vary day to day.  The scheduled menu for the day is what is served to all of the guests, except for possible special dietary requests.  We have a lovely professional restaurant kitchen with lots of work spaces and good equipment.   Our kitchen needs a range of skills from bakers of pies and breads, cooks in charge of meals, and helpers that would set tables, do prep work, and clean up afterwards.  Experience is helpful, but not necessary, as we will train you.  Ringneck Ranch is a family-friendly environment, with guests from all over the United States and abroad.

Housekeeping:  There are five different buildings on the ranch with a variety of accommodations and social areas.  All of the buildings are very nice and well kept.  We have two nice commercial laundry rooms and a cart provided for getting around to the buildings.  Guests come and go every day and we need a housekeeping crew to keep up.  Once again, experience is helpful, but not necessary, as we will train you.

Hunting Guides: No position at Ringneck Ranch, Inc. spends more time around our guests than our Hunting Guides.  This means not only are our professional guides dog handlers, but also they act as hosts on behalf of Ringneck Ranch.  Our guides build bonds with clients that can last a lifetime and many of our groups request to hunt with the same guide every year.  We cap our group sizes at 6 hunters per guide to manage safety and to allow for personal interaction.  Ringneck Ranch believes that pointing breeds provide the best hunting experience, but there can also be value in having one or two flushing dogs in the mix.

Support Staff:  At Ringneck Ranch there are many tasks behind the scenes that keep the operation running smoothly.  Because of this, the Support Staff role is a very important key to the success of the ranch.  The main job duties consist of bird liberation and cleaning, assisting guides with truck moving and operating the clay range among many other job duties.  This is a good starting job for someone who wants to get into guiding, but does not have a full team of dogs or guide experience.  Many of our current guides started out in the support staff role.  No experience is necessary for this position, but you do need to have a good work ethic, ability to lift 50 lbs.,  willing to operate a UTV in a safe manner and the willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Please fill out an application and return to Ringneck Ranch if you are interested.  Pay would depend on experience, but we try to stay competitive or better with the area job market.  Staff also receive some gratuities and meals are provided during work hours.
