Leadership Mitchell County Meeting held at Ringneck Ranch

Wednesday and Thursday this week, the meeting room in the Cedar Lodge at Ringneck Ranch was filled with chatter, planning, laughing and learning. The 2011-2012 Leadership Mitchell County class met to kick off their year with orientation.

If you’ve wondered where the next generation of Mitchell County leaders will come from, they already live and work here. If you’ve wondered where one will gain or refine the skills to lead, take a look at Leadership Mitchell County.

Leadership Mitchell County is an organization that is working to develop and encourage leaders throughout Mitchell County. Through a series of programs presented over a six-month period, participants will learn about different aspects of living in an organized society. Healthcare, education, economic development, local and state government, travel/tourism and agribusiness are some of the topics to be covered. Programs will be presented by area and state leaders and decision-makers in individual areas of expertise.

The goal of Leadership Mitchell County is to develop and encourage leaders in the region. Each year, the organization will identify and involve a class of Mitchell County residents who have demonstrated their leadership potential. The program is dedicated to the development of future county leaders, helping to ensure the future viability of civic, religious, governmental and youth organizations in Mitchell County.
