A Personal Note . . .

Keith and Deb

What’s New with Debra...

Health wise I am glad to say that I am now eight years cancer free. Thank the good Lord for his kindness, in allowing me more years on this earth with my family and friends. I just figure he hasn't finished with me yet, there is still some task undone, or word yet to say...one just needs to remember to tune in and listen.

I celebrated my 50th birthday, Keith his 54th birthday, and we celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary! Each celebration was a very big deal, as Keith is also four-years cancer free.

So, just once I'll say: get those check-ups!

Anyway, I'm still teaching Ballet, Jazz & Tap at my little school in Tipton, the Prairie Academy of Performing Arts. Last year we had about 32 enrolled, ages 5 to 17. Most students would not be able to take a dance class without driving 30 to 80 miles each way.

It is so satisfying to watch the little dancers leave the studio with a smile, and a little more self-confidence!

Keith & I are both excited to have my mom, Kaye, staying in Tipton for the winter. She sold her home in Orlando several years ago, and moved back to Illinois for the summer. Kaye likes to be in the thick of things so we figure Ringneck Ranch during hunting season is the place for her to be. She is a great organizer, very friendly and cheerful, and the staff looks forward to her arrival every fall. Look out, Mitchell County!
